Every year, as the season begins to shimmer with festive excitement and families start planning their Christmas cards, my Dural studio comes alive with one of my favourite offerings of the year: Christmas Mini Sessions.
There’s something truly special about these sessions — the simplicity, the joy, the nostalgia, and the chance to create images that become part of a family’s story for decades to come.
And this year… what a magical lineup of minis we had.
A Simple, Beautiful Christmas Theme
For 2025, the studio was styled with a clean, simple Christmas look — a classic tree, festive touches, and the sweetest red bows that added just the right amount of colour and charm.
It was timeless. It was warm. It was unmistakably Christmas.
Families walked in and instantly felt the vibe — cosy, joyful, and ready to celebrate the season.
Smiles, Laughter, and So Much Joy
Across 20 mini sessions, the studio was filled with everything we love about the holidays: contagious giggles, tiny hands holding onto Christmas decorations, siblings cuddling on cue (and sometimes by accident!), and that unmistakable sparkle that children get this time of year.
These were fun-filled, fast-paced sessions, but they never felt rushed. Instead, they captured the true joy of the moment — the energy, the connection, the magic.
A festive addition every family needs in their yearly album.
Welcoming Back So Many Familiar Faces
One of the most heartwarming parts of this year’s minis was seeing just how many returning clients came back through the studio doors.
Families I photographed when their babies were tiny… now walking in with confident toddlers. Kids I met years ago… now with little siblings in tow.
It’s the most beautiful reminder of why I do this work — to tell your story, year after year.
The Most Popular Minis Yet
Each session came with the option to upgrade, and so many families chose to expand their gallery — a clear sign that these moments meant something special.
Seeing parents fall in love with their images right away will never stop being the greatest gift.
Looking Ahead to Christmas Minis 2025
There’s a very high chance we’ll be running Christmas Minis again next year, and while it’s far too early to reveal any themes or styling, one thing is certain:
Christmas Minis will always celebrate the magic, the excitement, and the warmth of the season.
